Recently purchased Netgear R7000 wifi router and have found that Netgear Genie app crashes repeatedly and cannot print from USB printer attached to router. Little information found in netgear forums, wonder if anyone else has had this issue a/o found a solution.

Seems to be working fine for me. Are you running the latest version of Genie? I'm running version 2.4.12. I use a D6400 Modem/Router, although not sure if that makes a difference to whether Genie runs under MacOS Sierra?

How did you find the version number, using info in finder it's not listed?

Select "About NETGEAR Genie" from the main menu (screenshots attached). Screen Shot 2016-11-10 at 07.06.59.png Screen Shot 2016-11-10 at 07.07.28.png

Thanks! Looks like I'm using 2.14.18 which appears to be the latest version. Still cannot get to print on USB attached printer to the router. Netgenie will crash when try to do so. Tried doing this as AirPrint and couldn't get that to work either.

Can't think of anything else to suggest, other than opening a support request with Netgear (if it is a relatively recent purchase, you should be entitled to free support). I have not found their community forum terribly helpful but have had good results with their support desk (although it can take a couple of days to get a response).

I hope it works out.

I am also having issues with the Netgear Genie App. The router is good but this software is absolute garbage. Will return it and get an ASUS router instead.

Thanks Ken, I did do that, so far no response, but will post anything useful I get back here for others.
