Hi everyone, I just noticed that macOS Sierra GM candidate no longer appears in the Mac App Store under purchased items. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Yeah. It's gone. It just means no more golden masters (....as if 4 weren't enough!)

We'll be able to get it back soon though with public release.

This is why one should backup full installers on an external drive - and disconnect the drive when downloading newer versions.

I also make bootable usbs of each full installer.

So is all this fuss really necessary? Probably not. If you have build 16A319 or above then you should still probably be able to update to 10.12.1 anyway when that comes out.

It is advisable though to get the Sierra public release anyway, if only to make it appear again in the purchases tab. You never know when you may need it and when 10.13 comes out Sierra will disappear from the mac app store (unless you have it in purchases tab).

And likewise for El Capitan. If you haven't got it yet, get it now because this is your last chance to get it legally. Soon El Capitan will likewise disappear from the mac app store (unless you have it in the purchases tab).

That's not how it worked with El Capitan. If you had one of the GM candidates that was not the release build, you weren't offered 10.11.1.
