I was wondering if Apple announced anything special during this year's WWDC? Will the server.app be upgraded to 10.12 free of charge or do we need to shell out 20 bucks? Is there any new functionality to the server.app? Did any of you guys check out the beta yet?

I'm not a Dev so don't have access to the Beta.

I expect the Sierra Server.app will be a $20 purchase as in the past.

I plan to evaluate the updated Server app after a couple more DPs come out, so no comment from me yet. Regardless, I will not be updating my current app to the update until a few updates to the final version come out.

As to cost, I have a few Mini Servers that came with the Server app - the app was upgraded from 3.x to 4.x to 5.x at no cost, with the updates showing up in the MAS when the become available. I see no reason why the MAS-purchased app version updates will cost additional money...

From what I remember v4 to v5 upgrade was free. Prior to that they were paid purchases. I know between SL and ElCapitain I'm missing one version.
