Hi people of MacRumors

I have a problem when i try to download macOS Sierra, it keeps telling me that,
We could not complete your purchase
macOS Sierra is already installed on this mac.


Well yes it is installed, but i try to download so i can make a recovery USB.
Learn more button does not do anything.

hope someone have seen this before, and maybe know what to do.

I'm having the same issue. Luckily I have a backup of the installer, but it's 10.12.0 and I'd like to have a more up to date installer to make my thumb drive.

^^^^When you do a lot of OS upgrades and installs, it saves a lot of time to have an up-to-date installer on a flash drive. That way you don't have to download and install the incremental updates in the field.

^^^^Just a suggestion. And, you can put the combo updater on a USB stick. While not as convenient as an up to date installer disc, it will work in the field.

Try doing the download again, I just was able to download the installer from the App Store onto my iMac which is running 10.12.5.
