Resolved MacPro 1,1 recovery partition

After spending several hours searching this forum and the web for info on how to go about replacing the boot.efi file in my MacPro 1,1, Mavericks install I'm still no closer.
Anyone with a solution that works?

edit:
I have the necessary boot.efi file, the file I used to modify the Mavericks install on my MP1,1,
just can't figure out how to plug it into the Recovery partition.

If i understand you right, you cannot see/mount Mavericks Recovery Partition?
If that is the case, it is completely normal. Mountain Lion and Mavericks with Tiamo's boot.efi doesn't create Recovery HD during the installation.
I have successfully used this recovery partition creator and then replaced boot.efi file in it.

Thanks for the quick response.
Further web searches led me to these terminal commands to get Disk Utility to show and mount all partitions.
Having found this it was only minutes before I had successfully updated the boot.efi file.
Tried it out and now I can boot into recovery on my modified MacPro 1,1,

defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUShowEveryPartition 1 (to show all partitions)
defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUShowEveryPartition 0 (to restore normal Disk Utilty)

added these commands to my list of goodstuff!

Ah, so we didn't think about the same thing

I forgot about good old Disk Utility and all the functions it had.
Nowadays (on El Cap) I'm using Terminal for that:
diskutil list - to check OS X disk mounting point
diskutil mount diskXs3 - to mount Recovery HD.

Ah ha! those are the very commands I was searching for and couldn't find.
I remembered doing something in Terminal in the past, but for the life of me could not recall the commands.
Forgetting is the only thing I'm getting better at, almost 80 yr's old.
