is it worth the extra cost to go for the 12-Core CPU 19-Core GPU vs 10-Core CPU 16-Core GPU?
l am seriously considering just going for 10 core and upgrade to 1TB, as 512GB hd is suppose to be slower compared to the bigger 1TB. l only use the mac for trading softwares, ~ 2open a time, and browsing. thanks for advice

Sounds like the version of the M2 Pro that has the 10-Core CPU and 16-Core GPU will be sufficient. Hell, you might honestly be fine with a MacBook Air or 13-inch MacBook Pro with a standard M2 for those purposes (in which case, the 256GB drive is the slow drive and 512GB is not affected).

bought the M2 pro 1TB hd 16GB ram, looking forward to it, thanks for advise

I bought MBA M1 with 16 GB ram and 512GB runs well for what I need it for I,can play Diablo to full power and nothing slows down
