Hi all,

upgraded my 3,1 to Apple Broadcom BCM94360CD 802.11ac mini PCI-E WiFi WLAN Bluetooth 4.0 Card.
WiFi is working fine but Bluetooth is showing as not connected. I’ve reseated the card a few times and tried all permutations of wiring, am I missing something?

Thanks,

James

Ahhh no I don’t. I’ve found them on eBay but only from international buyers. How does it connect to usb + and -? Thanks for the reply btw.

I think at one point @tsialex posted an image of how that's done. I'd try searching his posts. I don't know personally, I don't keep hardware long so I don't end up doing that sort of thing, just knowledge gleaned from reading posts here.

The 3,1 has USB in the mPCIe port as required by spec.
Apple chose not to follow that spec for 4,1/5,1 and those are the ones that need you to run extra cabling.

You might have a bad / fake card (or bad adapter), or you neglected to remove the original BT card and there is a conflict.

This is from my 3,1 ... the only thing connected are the 4 antenna wires.

Ok thank you. I’m leaning to bad fake card as I have removed existing BT card and as per your picture mine is installed accordingly. Thank you.
