MacPro Late 2013 running out of space, options?

Hi,
So apparently my 250GB MacPro space is not enough and problem is, I can't delete any more of the apps as I use it all. So what are my options?

and I'm pretty sure they'll be issues if I install the apps on an external thunderbolt SSD drive.

Is it possible to make a Boot Drive with a Thunderbolt SSD Drive? Planning to make my Windows 10 BootCamp to use that instead (do BootCamp even allow using External Thunderbolt? and can VMWare Fusion 8 boot from it?) I can accept that it'll be slightly slower then my build-in SSD, but I'll take the speed loss.

I posted while back from owc that hard drive could be upgraded...
Or you could sell the machines and try t get used 1tb machines( something I personally would do).

Hmm, I did consider OWC, but it's a little too much for my needs (both storage wise and price)

With thunderbolt connected, is it possible to set up BootCamp to boot from it?

Just slide another drive in.

You probably can't run Windows using Bootcamp on an external TB drive. With the cMac Pro you can't boot Windows from a PCIe drive because the OS recognizes it as an external drive.

Thanks for the tip, I managed to solve my problem by moving my Steam games and some apps to an external drive. As for Windows partition, I found out I had a 12gb downloaded file from Autodesk, so I deleted that and Windows problem is solved.

I'm using an nMP. I used the instructions from the link above (look for a post from a user named yjchua95) and installed Windows on an external SSD in a Startech Thunderbolt enclosure. For the most part, works fine.

Also, should add, I did replace my internal SSD with a 1TB one that I bought on Amazon.

Hmmm ... dang ... I have been doing both of those things for years now.
... Wish I had known this before I started!

I have 2 iMacs with Windows booting from external Thunderbolt SSD bus-powered drives.
My cMacPro 5,1 boots Windows from a SSD on a PCIe Velocity DUO card which is considered "external".

You can't INSTALL Windows to an external drive using the Apple BootCamp Assistant ... however there are several methods posted on these forums for getting it done.

If the OP already has BootCamp Windows on the internal drive, using WinClone will transfer the installation to an external TB drive ... and then WinClone can be used to maintain a periodic backup of the Windows installation.
