so, I have an unusual thing going on.
Working on a Late 2013 MacPro with dual D500's and when in OSX Monterey I can set the resolution on a 43" Samsung up to 3840 x 2160 @30Hz. This is all done over HDMI to HDMI.
I tried DP to HDMI because the Samsung doesn't have a DP, only HDMI.
Funny thing is that I just did a BootCamp with Windows 10 and I am able to set the resolution to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz refresh rate.
Actually I tried all the way to 4096 x 2160 @60Hz in Windows 10.
How come it works in Windows but max resolution in OSX Monterey is 3840 x 2160 @ only 30Hz ?
is there a way to force it in Monterey?
I've been doing IT for 20+ years so trust e, I tried a lot of things including SwitchResX, EasyRes,.. nothing I do will
let me switch the refresh rate to 60Hz.
thank you all!
