Hi

About to upgrade my 17'' laptop with a MacPro. I already have a 23" monitor and want to run 2 monitors, so will purchase a 20" when ordering the MacPro.

Was going to order the 2 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB.

Is this OK or could I need something better in the near future?

What is a ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI) and do I need one?

Your thoughts would be helpful

So I only need 1 7300 to run 2 monitors!

Only do print and web graphics, so an ATI probably isn't worth the extra.

Thats correct. That money would best be spent elsewhere.

but this does mean that I can finally have quad monitors for an almost 180degree desktop!? Without having to do any fiddling? Sweet.

Well if you wanted you could have up to 8 monitors with the mac pro, because there is 4 card slots and each card can handle 2 monitors....however they will have very little bandwidth each they would probably run ok just don't try game on them.
