Can my 2006 MacPro1,1 use 800MHz ECC DDR2 fully buffered DIMM RAM that normally are from a MacPro3,1? My stock MacPro1,1 uses 667MHz ECC DDR2 RAM. Can the higher RAM modules simply downclock to fit to my MacPro1,1?

Can't find any reliable information on clockspeed compatibility.

it might work I used pc133 ram in my blue and white G3 also used pc 100 ram in a wallstreet g3 it worked.
