Hey!
What is the maxed spec Mac Pro 2012 you can get in 2016 that runs a 4k Display and so on? What graphic card is still supported?

Thanks!

Interesting :) Titan X is over a year old.. nothing new in the pipeline?

Maxed spec… may be something like

Dual X5690
128GB 1333MHz ECC RAM
TitanX (Maxwell)
12x SM951 on (3x Amfeltec Squid PCI Express Carrier board) in RAID 0
WiFi ac + BTLE
4x 8TB HDD (not sure if any larger HDD/SSHD can be used in cMP)
2x B-ray burner

At least my GTX Titan X is not loud. My GTX 770 was louder.

Prefer Blower-Style cards, not Open-Air coolers.

If you want something new get a Gigabyte RX 460. :D
Not sure what you mean buy those two types.
I only have a 5770 at the mo and I was playing Tomb Raider today for an extended period, the fan became annoying. Graphically though it seemed more than adequate at default settings feed my 30" ACD.

All the modern cards with Maxwell generation are not so noisy like cards a few years ago, e.g. my Radeon 5870.

They made improvements in cooling.

Blower style cards are better because they push the hot air outside the Mac Pro.

I didn't know Tomb Raider was able to run with 5770.

Runs absolutely fine. Currently I have the below installed;

Alien Isolation runs at low - medium settings, everything else runs fine at default settings. I sometimes play TR in Parallels but it gets choppy at times. (A few of the other titles won’t run at all in Parallels).
I usually boot natively into Windows. If you like Tomb Raider by the way look to Steam. It’s £3.74 at the mo compared to £22.99 at the Mac App Store and Steam is everything the Mac App store wants to be and more.

My hope is to be able to buy the Tube when it’s updated this month with.
Selection of Card(s) that support 4K obviously.
Dual hard drives, (one of the GPUs is removed as an option).
A selection of HDMI, USBC, Ethernet etc. etc.

Tim I know you can't hear me but maybe you’re listening.

Gotcha. Either my monitor or my GPU is dying as I have a fair bit of static on a very dark static image, (don't notice it at all otherwise). I’ll see what MVC has to offer.

Does any body know a selection of cards that work and support 4K and boot screens without flashing, both Apple and 3rd party?

If you mean 4K 60Hz boot screen, it doesn't exist.

AFAIK, the only card that can support 4K boot screen is the MVC Maxwell card, but that's obviously a flashed card.

Damn. Hoping you weren't going to say that.
