Can't find old thread so will create a new one.
Since Catalina got installed to my nmp (with d300) crashes became more often.
But it's different to Mojave. As usual, gui freezes, only mouse pointer is moving, then after some time watchdog doesn't see event from windowserver and causes KP ( and reboot)

Old tricks, like increasing fan speed, disabling acceleration on second adapter (slot-1), don't work.

Just adding this info to collection.

Perhaps your system has succumbed to the GPU issues this model Mac is known to experience?

What second adapter for acceleration are you talking about?
Hello.
your system has two d300 gpu
the one in slot two handles your displays and handles your 3d/metal/ogl
the one in slot one only processes your opencl workload.

Also, it's a known problem for many years now but it became worse with catalina, compared to mojave.

Portland, Ore.
I found this thread because my D300 unit experiences the same issue with Catalina. It's had the watchdog timeout panic 4 times. My D500 unit has not had a single crash yet. Has anyone here with a D300 Mac Pro not experienced these crashes?

It seems to happen during or after sleep. Perhaps I could try disabling power nap. Anyone have ideas?
