With permission from Doctor Q, I am opening the 2008 edition of MacRumors' Cribs, your spot to invite MR into your home for a little sneak peak.

Here is my home, a 420 sq ft studio in downtown St. Louis. I've been there about a month and a half now and almost have the place the way I want it. I still have 24 frames to hang, artwork to create to place in the frames, and a sheer curtain will be hung at the foot-end of the bed to divide the space visually. I'm waiting for that to be assembled.

Looking from my living room into my bedroom. The curtains, when they are done, will be between the bed and the two chairs, and can close to completely divide the space, but will left open 99% of the time. Nine 13"x19" frames will hang over my bed, in a 3x3 configuration.

Ten of the 19"x13" frames will go on the wall above, in a line from left to right.

Looking from the kitchen toward the living room and bedroom area. You can see the curtain track is hung and awaiting the curtain.

Let me know what you guys think. :) I'd love to see pics of your places as well.

Wow, nice crib. I really like the green and gray.

Where did you get the screensaver with the clock from?

Someone is going to yell at you for asking that. :) Fliqlo.

Green isn't a color I would usually go for- at all. It's not that I don't like it, it is just I never think of it...but I found the couch and absolutely loved it. That's where the color palette comes from.

Two monitors running Fliqlo?

I am such an idiot, they looked pretty small (hence why I though it was a separate clock rather than two big monitors) when i first viewed it but now on second look I release what an fool I was.

:) I was confused for a minute. I was thinking, "I'm pretty sure I don't have a wall clock." :)

Man, I wish I could fit all my junk in a 420Sq Ft. studio. We'd bank a decent amount of BAH :p I can't live in anything currently under 1500Sq Ft without feeling claustrophobic

I don't have any recent pictures of my house, but here is one I took about 2 years ago; not much has changed.

My Rhode Island (beach is a 1 min walk) House:
(new kitchen)

Also, here are the original house plans for our ct place that we were going to use but we sold our original building property which was 2 acres + view for 4 acres + more privacy but the house had to be of "more colonial style" because its a private road with "rules". (house was going to be shingle style). It also was going to cost a bit more.

I really like what you've done with such a small space! My apartment at school (which I share with one roommate) is about the same size at 485 square feet, but it doesn't look nearly as cool as your place does. Great job! :)

Thanks. The furniture choices I've made have been done to maximize the feel of the space. Being able to see in, around, under, and over everything makes the place feel more airy, more open.

Is that the computer that's powering those two monitors in the other room? If that's the case, that's pretty cool.

It is. My friend and I drilled through the concrete/plaster wall in order to do this. The computer setup/desk was one of the first things I envisioned before moving in. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It had to look completely clean and without wires.

Nice place, Tobefirst. Your design sensibilities are not far removed from my own.

I recently moved into a 600 square foot 1 bedroom in downtown Toronto, about five minutes away from my old 650 square foot one bedroom in downtown Toronto (I traded the 50 square feet for a pool, a gym, a balcony, a patio and a billiards room -- I also live in the same building as one of my rock climbing mates).

I've finished the bedroom, and am almost done the kitchen and bathroom (need to repaint the cabinets and put in new knobs). The living room in a long ways off, I still need a new dining table, a new T.V. a new coffee table and some shelves. Maybe a splash of green paint as well (green is my accent colour for the living room).

The bedroom is all earthtones and paper-texture. New Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet cover. I'll post a picture sometime over the weekend, as well as pic of my Mac set up (the only thing in the living room that's done XD)
