They are both what is called Major-on-Third -- major brand memory chips on third party circuit boards. The OWC RAM uses Samsung chips, the Techworks RAM uses Micron chips. Other than that, you will have a hard time determining the relative quality of the construction, etc. so you have to go on the seller's reputation. OWC/MacSales does have a good reputation with Mac owners, with only a few complaints of them assessing restocking charges on returns of RAM that didn't work.

My favourite in the USA is still Data Memory Systems.

I've had one experience with OWC/macsales. They were very helpful and quick when it came to shipping my RAM off to the Netherlands. I was pleased to say the least. I didn't take any risks and bought the original Samsung stuff (which is what Apple uses). Works great!

I usually buy the Samsung ram from them but I did buy 2gb of OWC/MacSales ram for my PowerBook and it works great, I haven’t had any issues with it...

Is there anyone running a 1GB OWC memory module alongside a 1GB module from Apple in an iMac Core Duo? Are you getting dual-channel with this configuration?
