I've been noticing for a few days now that many of the apps I have are duplicate or even triple. Basically, it is as if with each update the system does not delete the previous versions, but tries to keep them.
This has never happened before. Have I confirmed any options that allow this?
Only Affinity really has two versions, 1 and 2. But the others don't...Only affinity that I got have...
Any suggestions?

Are these duplicates in the Applications Folder or do they show when you right click a file and select "Open With"? I had that issue myself with Affinity Photo 1 & 2.
If the latter, you could try to rebuild the Launch Services Database. There are several ways to do this, the easiest being downloading the free utility Onyx ( https://titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html ). Other methods are described in this article, https://eshop.macsales.com/blog/47158-launch-services-keeping-apps-and-file-associations-straight/ .
Good luck

@BrianBaughn
No, they are applications located on the main hard disk.

However thanks to OnyX suggested by @Ricco B22 I found a corrupted area in the "DATA" partition.

I turned the Mac back on in OSRecovery mode and launched disk utility, but it can't repair it.
What do you do in such cases? I make continuous backups with Time Machine, but if the partition is corrupted couldn't the backup data also be corrupted?
How do I fix it?
