Mactel Mini + DVi out to 32" LCD

Hi,

Im just wondering what the video quality and such would be like using this, it states they can oush resolutions above 1080p from the dvi port!

Will the quality be cristal clear on my LCD, as when i got Mini DVi > Composite the quality is extremely poor and the videos play horrible, all blurred.

I dint think the mac mini could support anything higher than the apple 23" cinema display, but I think that is the screens resolution not the actual size.

You should have no problem, and so long as the video is of the correct resolution it will appear fine. DVDs are even upscaled to fit.

1080P is 1920x1080. The max the mini can do is 1920x1200 - just slightly better and the standard resolution of a 24" monitor.

If your 32" is 1080P that would be the best way to go, otherwise find a lot of that size of TV is 720P. What is the native resolution of your screen?

Composite is in the neighborhood of 640x480 - not good looking on a 32" piece of glass.

The 360 is awesome on the tv, and the sky is ok threw scart.

Uhm, my TVs native resolution 1366 x 768 i think? This is the tv http://uk.lge.com/products/model/detail/lcdtv_32lg3000.jhtml#

So if i got DVI > VGA then itll display nice? or better to go DVI > HDMI?

DVI->HDMI is always better because it goes Digital (computer)->Digital (HDMI)->TV (Digital). If you did DVI->VGA which will loose quality because VGA is analog.
