ok, so october 14th has passed, the ipod and notebook lines are updated.

this leaves alot of room for macworld.

what do you all think is gunna show up?

my guess(still young, and being revised):
1. apple tv HDD size bump(1TB please =])
2. imac spec jumps and price drops(im unsure about a nov. update)
3. Ipod touch 64GB
4. macbook air gets the new refreshes
5. macbook pro 17" gets refresh
6. timecapsule size bump
7. something with mac mini
8. ?

is this to much?

what do you guys think?

Doesn't sound like enough to me. I hope MacWorld amounts to more than just speed bumps and larger storage capacities.

Plus, I'm sure we'll see something with the iPhone.

I'd like to see something completely out of left field but Apple has that covered already. They have a phone, a computer for your TV, entertainment rentals, etc.

I have no clue what they could be cooking up. Maybe a new desktop line? What gaps have they not filled?

Digital cameras (again)?

How about:

:apple: iPod Touch will get real Bluetooth, and Apple will release a Bluetooth headset to go with it.

:apple: External glass Multi-touch trackpad. Now that Adobe CS4 makes use of gestures, there is all the more reason for Apple to release a mouse replacement so desktop users can input gestures.

oooo, nice! i love the usb glass pad idea! that would be incredible

and perhaps it could be full size and allow the use of 'drawing' or something or the sort.

and i would love to see a digital camera from them!

im also thinking maybe iphone/ipod touch 2.2 software? with major updates?
(copy/paste, MMS(oh god please), tethering? A2DP support)

tweak in internals of iMac
new minis (or nanos lol)
maybe a mac pro refresh
expanded line of cinema displays (to go with new mac pros)
snow leopard
iLife & iWork '09
iPhone & iPod Touch update (3.0 not new hardware)
release of 17" refresh

MacBook Tablet?

Mac Nano... which is a computer + iPhone/iPod dock.

well, this is highly unlikely due to what jobs said back on oct. 14th when he mentioned that netbooks and touch screens made no sense to him yet. eventually maybe.

Shannighan:

you think its time for 3.0 software already?

I would think the Mac Pros will see major updates with new cases and such.

What about a true Apple TV that syncs all your media.

1. I think the migthy mouse will be replaced by a multi touch "pad". This way all macs will have multitouch. Something like this: https://forums.macrumors.com/showthre...=437352&page=5

Mulititouch will also be a huge part of snow leopard since 3rd party dev. can program for it.

2. More Snow Leopard
3. New Apple TV maybe with an app store and safari browser.
4. MBP 17" refresh
5. Cinema displpay updates for alle other sizes
6. Maybe just maybe an Iphone with better camera and unibody.
7. Come on Mac mini update!

ok, well, i just went to the store to check out the new track pads on the mabooks/pros, and after using them for a few minuets, and then going to an imac, i realize what a great thing it would be to have a track pad that like, attaches to the apple keyboard. it would be brilliant. to the right if the number pad, about the same size as the number pad is, just its all a track pad. and you can also use the mouse at the same time, just the track pad for fast gestures?

Why would you need both? I imagine an external touchpad would be a mouse replacement.
