Just wanted to let everyone know that Macworld is now in Newsstand. The only problem I see is that print subscribers don't get access. It requires a new subscription.

Options are:

1.99 a month (auto-renewal)
6.99 per issue

Thanks for the head's up. I was looking for this a few months ago and was disappointed that I didn't see this magazine on Newsstand. I'll probably subscribe once it has retina display support.

Biggest issue with these electronic magazine subscriptions is that they are hard to covert from paper at a discount price. Still, I think the issue will get worked out over time.

Is this magazine designed for the iPad with interactivity or is it just a PDF version of the original paper magazine?

I was very impressed with the iPad design of both People magazine and Popular Science. Very, very cool.

Of course, I should mention Zinio also has this magazine, and if you use a link found on the internet you can get a free issue via that service.

Here is another forum post with the link as well, but you can also find the link via googling Zinio Macworld free (1st result.)

EDIT: You can get the new edition every month just by using the link again, and signing in with your account.

The Zinio version is not interactive, except you can tap some web url's and it will launch safari (I think.)

I'm not sure yet. I started my download last night and never looked at it.

$6.99/issue!?

Can't I just pay $1.99 for a single issue then cancel the subscription?

I don't see why not. I subscribed to Food Network mag for the same price and realized I didn't like the layout so I unsubscribed. I still had the original issue I paid 1.99 for.
