Mad problems with BlackBook wireless

So, a friend just bought this sweet Macbook (in the store - not off the website, so the software might be a bit old?) - unforunately, his wireless is having ridiculous problems. Ths modem is working fine, and both his Wii and my MBP can connect to the network no problem (it's a cable DSL modem) - but the macbook has had no luck, at all.

(Btw - reset the modem many times)

Has anyone had similar difficulties, and suggestions resulting thereof?

Call Apple and tell them the problem. There may be issues with the wireless card in the laptop.
