Made this lapboard after growing tired of using cheap keyboard and track pad.

Routed a groove into the wood so the keyboard sits flush....

Thoughts?

Why not countersink the wood so the keyboard recesses flush with the surface of the wood. This way it can't slip and is even and level with the wood surface.

The keyboard doesn't move at all as the rounded battery part of the keyboard is sunk into the wood perfectly so that stops it moving about up and down and also side to side.

The mouse tracks very well over the wood and is very responsive.

It would be quite a lot harder to counter sink the keyboard so it was totally flush.
