:):)Hi all. I bought an iPhone in November and absolutely loved it. So, when considering a new computer for home (photos, Movies, surfing) use, I thought why not try the iMac.

I purchased a 20" 2.4gHz, 320Gig, 1MB Ram, from Amazon on 2/4. For $3.99 extra had it delivered on 2/5- total cost $1498.99. Got it home and uh oh, Tiger installed, with no Leopard install disk. Not very happy. Called Amazon and they offered me 2 choices; 1) send back for full refund :( 2) refund of $299 :). I chose the $299 refund. Called Apple and guess what, they shipped Leopard install disk for $17.48. Very happy now with both outfits. Ordered the 4MB upgrade from OWC for $102.47. Now have a NEW 20" 2.4 gHz w/4MB ram for total cost of $1319.94.:):)

First Impressions - I have 2 Dell Desktops and a Dell laptop. After playing with the iMac and iLife for movies and photos can honestly say that I do not see another non-work PC in my future. Looks like I will now order Time Capsule and make the switch complete.

Like to thank all for the info on this site. PS: I did notice a top to bottom gradient at first, but after using the installed calibration program, it is no longer noticeable at all. My first glossy screen and I love it as well as the wife and 2 daughters.

I thought mine didn't come with Leopard either and then I was digging around with the stuff in that long, narrow box and there they were. Maybe you've looked.

People also say the screens look a little washed out, but they fail to adjust the contrast. ;)

I searched all in the box and couldn't find it. Amazon is not an "authorized reseller" it appears that my machine was manufactured back in September. Again, I am happy with how Amazon and Apple treated me.:)
