Mag Charge or wired charge

I am about to make my first purchase of ear pods.

I read about various issues with the mag charge cases, am I better off just getting the wired case?

I have the original AirPods Pro with the wireless case and the official Apple MagSafe charger makes the case super hot. I only charge with a cable now.

Yep, I used a MagSafe charger once, and the Apple Watch charger once. Both times go too hot for my liking so I went back to wired. I have the wireless case but I charge them with a cable.
