I have a late 2013 27" iMac running MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave.

I had to get a new keyboard, got a Magic Keyboard, and I'm having trouble getting the keyboard working.
The computer does not recognize the Magic Keyboard and bluetooth will not connect. The only functionaly I can get is basic typing when the keyboard is connected to a non USB-C port.

Is the Magic Keyboard compatable with my iMac and OS Mojave?
Will updating the OS help?

Thanks.

Try connecting the keyboard directly to the iMac using the usb cable, it should pair BT ability automatically, after which you should be able to unplug the cable and ues it wirelessly. iMac of your vintage doesn't have usb-c so I'm guessing you are using a hub?

When the keyboard is connected directly to the iMac the only functionality I get is basic typing and pairing does not work.
Since my OP I learned that MacOS 11.3 or later is required for the keyboard to work as expected.
