Hello all.

Hope you're well. I have been using the extended Apple Space Grey Magic Keyboard with numerical pad for over a month now. I bought it brand new from Amazon. Over the past week or two, the volume icon on my MacBook Pro occasionally pops up. Sometimes it indicates that the volume is going up, other times it is clear that the volume is going down. On the Magic Keyboard, the mute, volume up and volume down keys correspond to F10, F11 and F12 respectively.

I have tried giving them a good few taps and a blow out with an electric powered computer duster, but sometimes it still happens. It's fairly intermittent and is immediately remedied just by quickly tapping them, but it is rather annoying.

Do you have any tips on how to fully remedy this?

Thanks,

Dunca.

Which country are you in? In the UK I know that the retailer is the first point of call for problems with products, even if they will shift blame to the manufacturer. If not you could contact Apple as it is probably under their warranty

I’m in the UK. Yes, Amazon typically blames manufacturers if it’s passed their 30 limit. I’d be happy to contact Apple, though it’s question of what they can do given the circumstances.
