After I had three MacBooks with faulty Butterfly keyboards, I was relieved when Apple finally announced their new MacBook "Magic" Keyboards. I ordered a new MacBook Pro in early May. A few days ago I noticed that the MacBook behaves strangely: It appears as if the system receives random keystrokes although I didn't press any key. Today I found out what happens:
(1) If I just rest my hand on the keyboard and one finger touches the Return key, the Return key starts sending keystrokes as if the key was being held down. A tiny little weight on the key is enough. I'm definitely not "clicking" it.
(2) Every time I release the backslash key "\", the Return key fires. That is, if I tap "\" I get "\" + "Return"
Wow, I hope this is not another 5 year Odyssee of faulty keyboards.
I will get this MacBook repaired as soon as I can, but would like to know: Has anybody else had similar issues? Are your Magic Keyboards reliable?
