The Magic Keyboard is very nice, but the Combo Touch has some advantages, like function keys, better side and end protection and a detachable keyboard for easier tablet use. It also seems like an easier carry and is $142 cheaper than the MK. The MK’s footprint looks like a clear winner. Another big giveup is the separate power port on the MK, but that might be solved through a powered hub. Any other thoughts or considerations?

maybe not apple to apple comparison, but if you buy a Toyota car/truck and you want aftermarket performance parts, do you go with TRD brand or aftermarket brands? it's an easy decision for me, i'd go with Magic keyboard

Until I hit the end I read this expecting the opposite response as I'd go with aftermarket parts.

I was gong to go Bridge as I like it's style a bit more but opted for the Combo Touch as the use of the apple connector is a major tiebreaker as Bluetooth is the devil.

I like he built quality and style of the Magic Keyboard I just don't like using it, and the lack of shortcut keys is a big downer.

No it's just a waiting game as I still have no idea when my combo touch will ship.

I’m waiting for reviews of the 12.9” Combo Touch. But I like the idea to have the iPad protected when using it without a keyboard.

Have you considered buying that new ZAGG case with the keyboard and trackpad?
