Hello!

I have been using a 1st gen Magic Mouse (with 2x battery) for the last 1 year, and decided to upgrade it with a 2nd gen.
Today I got the 2nd gen and immediately noticed that it is way much worse than the 1st gen. How?!

- 2nd gen has a loose top, when I touch it with my 2 fingers (gesture), it makes sound because there is a gap between top part and the button inside, so it does not feel "tight"
- 2nd gen weights less, hence feels like a toy, also has less grip, makes it harder to use

I had never a problem with my 1st gen, except the 2x battery recharging. The only reason made me got this 2nd gen was the charging ability of the 2nd gen with the iPhone cable. But now I notice the 2nd gen is a terrible product especially due to this loose top which makes annoyin sound while using.

Do you experience the same issues? Maybe there is a solution for this? Otherwise I am going to return or sell this 2nd gen.

I have two white Magic mice and they both feel a bit loose on the top. I also have a Space Grey Magic Mouse, which came out shortly after the iMac Pro, and was more expensive than the basic white one. The Space Grey one feels solid and isn't loose at all. Maybe there was more to the higher price than just the colour?

I have the 1st gen and the 2nd gen both in white. 1st gen feels pretty solid and tight, while the 2nd gen is so annoying especially with the top part.

So you say that the black color feels like my 1st gen, like solid and tight, right?
If you say both the white 2nd gens are problematic like mine, probably I am going to sell this 2nd gen and continue my way with the 1st gen again. Pretty weird, imagine a product whose new version is worse than the old version :)

Yeah my space grey one has next to no wobble on the top part. I've also noticed that the white magic keyboard vs. the space grey one feels different too. Not that one is better than the other, just different.

I got it. Then I conclude this saying that the Gen1 was way much better than the Gen2, at least in my opinion.
Hence, today I sold the Gen2 mouse and I am continuing with the Gen1 again :)
