How are you guys doing?

I just discovered that when I move my Magic Mouse slowly I need to move it about 3-4 inches to go from one side of the screen to the other (27" iMac).

However, when I move the mouse fast I can go from side to side by just moving it one inch.

This is probably a stupid question but I recently sent my Magic Mouse 2 bungee jumping off my table when it was recharging and it hit a metal table leg and dresser.

Is this normal or should it move the same distance no matter how fast I move the mouse?

I'm just worried the mouse got damaged inside because there's visible damage on the outside.

Thanks in advance.

What you're describing seems like the normal behavior for MacOS mouse acceleration, nothing to worry about. You can adjust the tracking speed to be faster or slower in System Preferences > Mouse.
