I noticed my thumb having cuts throughout using the Magic Mouse 2...I dont know whats cutting me, the main mouse frame or the sharp corners of the white cover.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I purchased a MM2 a couple f months ago. No issues like this. If you take smooth paper, or even a tissue, does it snag when dragged over MM2 surfaces?

Just tried, it seems smooth, but sharp my right thumb has 10 white lines going through it. unless its me just rubbing the edge but I dont see myself doing that paying attention to this. this am.

Cover that sharp edge with padding, or maybe a layer of duck tape.
Or, assume that a magic mouse is not a good "fit" for your hand, and move on to some other kind of mouse - or maybe a trackpad.

Melt the edges a little with a jet lighter and that will make them rounder and smooth.

I experience the same issue as the op.

It definitely feels like my Magic Mouse 2 is cutting my thumb with its aluminium base because the touch panel is not positioned properly. Moreover, the touch panel on my mouse can actually be moved about 1 ml to the right and expose the sharp aluminium edge under it even more.

The Magic Mouse 1, that I used previously, didn't have this defect. I've tried 3 2nd generation mice in the store and two of them had this issue. I don't know if this problem is widespread and people just don't notice, or that I'm being unlucky here.

I don't have Apple Store in my country, one of the official service shops told me that it's a "cosmetic defect" and declined to look into it. Going to try another service later this week.

Definitely shouldn't do this.
Ive been using a Magic Mouse for years and have never had any issues with it cutting my thumb. The top glass panel doesn't move or slide on the base at all.
