Personally, I love Apple's trackpads on their MacBooks. And the Magic Trackpad is as good as they are.

its build quality is good solid much bigger than i expected and its great

The Magic Mouse isn't bad, but it doesn't have all the multi-touch features the Trackpad does. And having used a MacBook Pro for a couple years, I've gotten to the point that I prefer using a trackpad than a mouse, particularly on Apple's devices.

(Now on a PC laptop, it'd be another story — Dell trackpads suck. But Apple's trackpads work perfectly — they nailed it with this one.)

I just dont find it being as fast/simple as a traditional mouse, I'll stick with my logitech and magic mouse till I get a chance to play with one and prove my self wrong

I already ordered mine. The fact is that I simply love the trackpad on my MBP, and I hope that this thing can replace my Magic Mouse (which is not bad, but not nearly as good as a trackpad).

easiest way to figure is, do you prefer a mouse or a track pad? When behind a laptop do you say "Geez I wish I had a mouse"? or do you like using a track pad at your desktop.

Desktop track pads have been around more then 10 years, so what you're seeing isn't something new, just what you can do with it.

My personal opinion is that a mouse will be way more familiar. I think Apple is taking this whole multi gesture stuff too far, too quick.

I agree with you here as the trackpad on MBP at least is close in proximity to the keyboard. It isn't off to the side where a mouse is, so you can still have two hands on the keyboard while using the MBP trackpad.

That will not stop me from buying one though... ;)
