So after the upgrade I noticed my right click no longer functions. I have tried everything including:

disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse.
removing com.apple.drivers.Bluetooth.AppleMagicTouch.mouse.plist
restarting the HMC
attempting to set right click to left click (coming out and going back into preferences just resets it back to right click even though it doesn't actually work).
Taking out the batteries and putting them back in.

I'm puzzled. I've tried everything, am I missing something?

Have you tried restarting your Mac?
I had a problem with gestures and I simply restarted and they were back.

Several times. I've tried shutting it down. Hard resetting it, restarting it. No change.
