Magic Trackpad(force touch) battery replacement

Quick question, I need the battery to my magic trackpad replaced and I plan to have it done by Apple. They charge $30 to do it, but my question is:

Do they actually replace the battery or do they replace the keyboard with a new or refurbished unit?
