The lighting cable is starting to have power issues and cannot charge my Macbook due to stretching it experiences by the way its connected. I really miss older models that had the Awesome MagSafe charging option! Has anyone purchased anything charging its MacBook magnetically and that is happy with it?

A friend has a similar solution and he is not happy with the small surface of the magnet. He says it unlocks easily.

Do you mean it detaches easily?! If that’s the case then doesn’t that mean it’s working as designed? I would suggest you to try out yourself, usage varies from person to person.

I understand what you say but this is a similar case in 1:30
Other than the RAVIAD isnt there any other brand?

Should i be worried that it only says its MacBookPro compatible and nothing about the MacBook?

Don’t think so. The connectors are the same and the voltage is managed within the device itself. So you should be fine.
