Hello! I've been searching around for a Magsafe 2 to usb dongle type device but I can't for the life of me find one. They all seem to be Magsafe female to usb c for the new macbooks. However, I have an early 2015 13 inch macbook pro. What I believe I need is a usb male (to connect to my portable charger) to a Magsafe 2 male (to connect to my mac's charging port). Ive attached an image of the ideal product, but that specific cable is said to not work at all. If someone could help me out or point me in the right direction, Id greatly appreciate it.

Sorry, such a thing does not (or at least should not) exist.
The magsafe and magsafe 2 connectors do not conform to the USB charging specification, so nobody will sell you such a cable, as it would be dangerous.

The USB-C charging specification used in the new MacBooks is totally different to that used in the previous generation computers.
