From what I've read so far, it seems that MagSafe is merely faster at charging than USB C.
However, I currently use a MBP 2019, with USB C, and all my accessories work with it fine. Would it not be better to merely stick with a USB C MBP, versus a MagSafe one?

Was thinking of upgrading my MBP 2019. Hence, the conversation/question...

You should probably do some more research since the difference between a 2019 MBP and the new model with MagSafe is an entirely new CPU created by Apple instead of Intel

Your accessories will work fine with the new model too. For power, it's your choice–use MagSafe or stick with USB-C as you do now.

MagSafe doesn't offer any faster charging except when you use >100W charger with MBP 16. Under all other conditions, USB-C offers the same speed as MagSafe.
