Is anyone else having issue with their battery pack and charging? I can have mine connected to my 13 Pro for 15+ min and the battery percentage doesn't change. Also if I plug the cord (connected to 20W power from Apple) I don't see my phone battery increasing.
Not sure if others have this issue

Just picked mine up this morning. I don't normally need it as my iPhone is still 60% charged when I get home from work. I figured it was a good accessory for travel though so I grabbed one. I'm charging the battery pack from my iMac via USB so I cannot tell how well its charging. I'll take another look tonight after its been charging today. R/ight now it looks like this on my iPhone:

The battery pack seems to charge up - I just notice it's not doing anything to the battery percentage on my 13 Pro when I have it connected alone as well as plugged into a 20W power source (where they say your phone will charge at 15W vs 5W when not connected to power)

With my iPhone currently at 95% charge I can't really test the battery pack. But I'll give it a shot tonight after 10:00 PM.

Wouldn't you think the battery pack would charge the phone the remaining 5%? Or am I missing something in how all this is supposed to work with the battery pack?

I just think of the battery cases from Apple, and that is how it used to function (my phone would stay at 100% and use the battery from the case).

Its going to be a s-l-o-w charge for that last 5%. Apple says the battery can charge the phone up to 90%. That may simply be the MagSafe battery capacity or it may be a safety feature that only allows so much charge. Either way I'll know more tonight.

I don’t know what was happening this morning - but it seemed to charge the phone from 91% to 100% when also plugged into power source. Maybe it's something w/o power it does to keep the phone around a certain %

It's overheat of your phone then it will be slow or not charging. Just hard restart the phone.

theres a setting that optimizes charging. If you want it to fill to max at all times then Make sure to turn the setting off

It tends to get you around 90-91% or so battery then it trickle charges to keep you around that percentage. Like Itsedtech said if optimize battery is on it works with iOS to prolong your battery health and not as a charger.

Here’s a good video explanation with use cases that made me buy it.

I don’t have battery optimization turned on - so I was thinking it would charge the phone to 100%. After watching this vid, he clearly states it won't take the phone beyond 90-91%. Thank You for this vid, it is WELL explained

Heat Heat Heat. It depends on the heat that how to affect the charging. The best way to restart the phone before using magsafe battery pack.

No problem my pleasure!

That video was incredible.
Indeed he did a great job. Very thorough and with real life tests to boot.
