Apologies, but I couldn’t find an existing thread discussing this topic. I wanted to know whether MagSafe cases lessen heat dissipation from an iPhone?

I’m currently out in the south east of Asia (where it’s very hot), and I’ve brought my iPhone 16 Pro out here with me. I know that the phone will naturally get warm when in use in a hot country, but I feel that it warms up a bit too quickly with heavy use like watching Tik Tok videos, etc. I have a Spigen MagSafe case, but I don’t charge my phone with a MagSafe charger, so don’t necessarily need a MagSafe case.

While Spigen make quality cases, have you ever thought about going caseless? My first iPhone was an iPhone 4s, and I’ve had cases on my phones up until a couple years ago. I couldn’t find a case I really liked for my iPhone 13 so I decided to go caseless for a while. What I learned is that going caseless forces me to be more aware of my phone and what I’m doing with it. I find that I now put more thought into how I handle and hold the phone as well as how and where I lay it down.

I dropped my iPhone 5s, while it was in a case, and it cracked the screen. I bought my iPhone 13 a week after release and I haven’t had cases on my phones since then.. I also haven’t dropped or damaged any of my phones while caseless.

Just a thought.
