Received my new MBP yesterday. What a pleasure.

Last night I was installing software, spent around 3 hours completing the task. When I went to unplug the magsafe power adapter I noticed the adapter was hot enough almost to fry an egg on. Is this common? I mean this thing was hot!!!

You mean like the power brick or the actual plug that goes into the MBP?

The brick is okay getting hot. Mine gets really really really hot.

Just don't leave it next to anything flammable.

As a side note, at least be happy that its only the magsafe you can fry an egg on and not your entire MBP. Woe to me. (I like pointing out how hot mine gets, I think it makes me feel better)

I'm sorry. Yes I meant the power brick. Need to get up to speed on all of the current terminology associated with the MBP.

It was HOT!!!
