Does anyone expeirance a bug where the phone will not charge on magsafe charger but says it is? Then i take my phone off the charger and it still says its charging? This will happen until i reboot my phone.

This happens rarely for me but it has happened a handful of times since IOS15.

Do you have a case on your iphone? If so, it is a magsafe compliant case? I have found that many cases to not work well with magsafe. It is possible that the phone sees incoming power but may not be sufficient to actually charge the battery.

This is just an educated guess, I bought a magsafe but returned it when it would not work with my otterbox case, ended up going with a Mophie wireless charger without issues.

Best of luck :)

i do not have a case.

Remember, when i pull it completely off the charger it says its still charging.
Okay, no worries. Just throwing it out just in case. Is this something that you noticed that just started with iOS 15.3.X? You never know apple but hopefully, 15.4 would fix whatever is going on there. I know there are weird issues charging the ipad on 15.4 beta 2/3. Not sure if this is new to the beta, or a bug that did exist on the prior versions like 15.3.

Thanks, yes, just noticed with 15.3.X, been a few updates and still does it every once in a while. Hoping the next will take care of it.

Try doing a Recovery Mode Update. This will put a fresh copy of the latest iOS version on your phone but won’t touch any of your user data or apps. Suggest doing an encrypted backup to your Mac computer. This sometimes can fix problems.
