Mail account that will sync with all devices and outlook 2011

Need to set up a:
MacBook with office 2011
iPhone
iPad

So they all work / sync with mail, contacts, calendar

Gmail calendar isn't working. Thinking of switching to @icloud.com address? Any other suggestions?

This is for my mom and she wants to use outlook on this new MacBook Air...

If she insists on using Outlook 2011, the only option is a hosted Exchange service, since Outlook cannot sync contacts and calendar with anything but Exchange. For this reason iCloud won't work either (Outlook does not support CalDAV/CardDAV).

You can set her up with iCloud and use Contacts and Calendar with iCloud, then do not turn on iCloud in Mail app, but instead continue to use Outlook for iCloud Mail using these IMAP settings.
