Mail and Entourage

I love using Mail for my e-mail accounts, but Entourage to me has a better calendar and task set up than iCal. For some reason, all of my mail yesterday seemed to go to the entourage mail rather than Mail. I often have both open and this has never happened. Any thoughts why??? Sould I keep Entourage closed except when using the calendar function of it???

Toss Mail.app and stick with Entourage. It is a much more powerful app, even if it is from MS.

Do you have mail Send & Receive scheduling enabled in Entourage? If so, that would explain why the mail was loaded into that app.

I do like Entourage, but I use Mail and iCal because I want to sync my Mac stuff to a Palm and I'm pretty sure I can only do that from the Apple based programs. But I do like the mail on Entourage. I've used Outlook extensively, and was always impressed with it.

I always have to click the Send-Receive button to load in the e-mails on Entourage. Yesterday, I noticed that I hadn't received any mail on Mail the entire day. When I got home, I clicked on the Get Mail button in Mail and nothing happened. When I clicked on the Send-Receive button on Entourage, I received all my day's mail. Once I shut both programs down, and reopened Mail, it worked like before.
