Hi all

I have an iPhone 5 I got on launch day last year. Had my Gmail set up on my iPhone just fine .. with the paid business google apps that our work uses.

I went to London (I'm from N.Ireland) back a few weeks ago and had to turn off my 3G because I went over the quota (work phone). Ever since this, my Google business apps Email's haven't been coming through.

I've lived without it the last few weeks but I really need it back.

I updated to IOS7 on both iPhone and iPad .. everything's working great.

About 10mins ago, I set up my Google email via exchange (again, business account, paid for) and it works great on the iPad .. emails coming through no problem ..

I tried setting it up on my iPhone and was able to get it all verified but when I check the mail app, it says 'cannot get mail - connection to server failed'

I do not understand why this won't work. It clearly works fine on my iPad. Although i know Google stopped the exchange stuff for the free gmail, but I read the business accounts google apps which are paid for should still work with exchange - but it's not working for me... as I said, it will verify but it won't actually let me get any of my mail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Yes. It doesn't make sense.

Just to test...can you get mail setting it up as a Gmail account?

In Mobile Safari, try signing in at https://m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/welcome and checking all your settings there.

Hi

Thanks for the suggestions - tried the link .. didn't work :(

I can set up a Gmail account no problem .. just can't get the push that I need

It's strange cos it's working perfect on my iPad ... but nothing on the iPhone ..
