I did a large email purge in Gmail. My overall gmail limit was reached and so I proceeded to delete around 10gb of emails. I did this all through my browser- Chrome.

Once done, I simply opened my many IOS devices mail apps (1 iPhone, and 2 different iPads) and all 3 devices are showing maybe 5 emails from today and then references emails dating back to 2011 and earlier... all the way back to 2005. They are not showing any of the emails I didn’t touch from 2021-2012.

I have no idea why this is happening but I can’t seem to do anything to get the native IOS Mail App to display all the emails that I see when I look at my inbox through the browser. To make sure I wasn’t crazy, I downloaded the standalone gmail app on my iPad and it is displaying everything correctly and is matching the inbox I see when I access gmail through Chrome.

Any idea on what is causing this issue and what I can do to fix it? This is happening on all 3 apple devices when I look at my inbox through the mail app.

Thanks!

I’ve done that maybe 1/2 dozen times and each time I remove the GMAIL account and add it the inbox shows the same thing: All of today’s emails, maybe 5-10 emails from yesterday, and then full history beginning with 2011 and going back to 2005.
