Since finally updating to Sierra last week, Mail’s notifications in Notification Center have been sorted in ascending order, with the newest notifications at the bottom. This is especially problematic because it means I can only see the first five notifications that come in; beyond five they’re “below the fold”.

I tried toggling Mail’s prefs in the Notification Center pref pane and deleting Mail’s entry from com.apple.ncprefs.plist. No luck. I also tried changing the sort order for messages in mailboxes in Mail itself, but that also didn’t do anything. When Notification Center is set to Recents it’s fine, but Recents by App still sorts Mail (and only Mail) upside-down. Updating to 10.12.4 last night didn’t help.

I’ve only found one other reference to this issue online, over at Apple’s forums: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7750457

Has anyone had this issue? Better yet, has anyone resolved this issue? Thanks!
