No idea if this was added in a recent DP or has always been there since the start but in Mail.app flight numbers are now hyperlinked. Tapping on them brings you to a flight preview screen which shows you the route and time of departure and arrival, along with delays. Pretty neat

Was fully expecting this to not work in Canada. Rather surprised to get the option to Preview Flight!
But...
Then...
"Flight information unavailable" :(

Still feelin' the love, Apple.
Sincerely, Canada.

1717, yes they were included. Only links that showed up on the email were for the date and times.

What were your flight numbers? Were they included in your booking confirmation email
Yeah I checked from the confirmation email - the link appeared but errored out at the time. Just noticed today that I used messages to send my flight number to the person picking me up and it recognized the flight number and offered my flight information from there.. And today it works!

You can type the flight number into Notes as well and it will show you details. So, if you make a note with travel details you can get updates that way too.

At what point does Apple start building out hidden but very useful features like this, package tracking, dictionary and others into their own applets a la stocks or weather? Would it be that hard to build small apps with limited functionality like that if it's already in the OS?
