Since upgrading to Monterey, my Mail app is constantly refreshing the All Inboxes view. I use that view to work through the 8 email addresses that I have synced to Mail. (Yes, eight. Please don't judge. I already hate myself.)

It isn't a "game breaker," but it does irritate the heck out of me. Mostly because I tend to use the "filter by unread" setting, and if it refreshes while I'm reading a new email in the preview pane (which it constantly does), that email is now flagged as "read" and immediately disappears upon the refresh....meaning that I have to disable the "unread" filter and go track that email down so that I can read it.

Anyone else having this issue? Or, better yet, anyone know how to resolve it? I have "Check for new messages" set to "Automatically," but even when I set it to a given time interval, the All Inboxes view refreshes whenever it pleases. Or so it would appear.

I'm operating on an increasingly ancient Late 2015 iMac.

8 mailboxes!?!?!?!?! Indeed you are crazy bro. I have 9 configured :p but I don't hate myself hahahaha. (iCloud, 3 IMAP, 4 Gmail, 1 Exchange)

Something makes me think that they are aware of the trouble because when I "upgraded" to beta 3, the smart mailboxes stopped working as expected (configurations disappears, mailbox order changes, and those sort of things) and they are not persistent upon quitting the app.

I already posted the bug in dev channel.

Just a matter of time man. In the meantime, resignation... 12.1 is almost here, YaY! Maybe before Christmas?

Ancient Late 2015 iMac... There is not such thing as an ancient iMac. They are eternals!!!

I have exactly the same problem. Though I have 11 mailboxes ;-). It finally frustrated me enough today to go looking for the solution. I was hoping to find a solution though and not just other people with the problem! Still searching for the solution. I'm about to just reload the machine and set it up from scratch and hope that fixes it.

Since posting I've moved up to a Mac mini M1, but that did not solve the issue -- not that I thought it would, since I'm still on macOS 12 (12.2.1, to be precise). Perhaps worthy of note, however, is that it happens with much less frequency. I'm not much of a tech guy, but that would lead me to guess that is potentially tied to processor speed?

Yes, same behavior with my Mini M1. Each time a new message arrives, there is a giant refresh of the screen and the message I am reading disappears briefly. This is new behavior since the move to Monterey. It seems to be local to this hardware too--my Macbook Pro is not showing this behavior so far.
