iPhone Mail app padding? Huh?

I have an iPhone XS Max. and have updated to 13.1.13. But since updating to ios 13, individual emails on the Mail app show padding/gutter which I hateeee. Is anyone else getting this too, cause everyone I've asked, the email goes full width.

Is there a fix for this? I want it to go full width. See image

Kind of like all that empty space at the bottom where useful features used to be before. Some things don't quite add up.

I've noticed it too. Seems like emails that are HTML based get the padding/gutter while text based emails are not.

Yeah, I wonder if that has something to do with the css code inside the HTML mail. Something like “margin: 1em;” or something like that. It’s not so evident if you’re using light mode.

I wonder if it would help if people would start using: @ media (prefers-color-scheme: dark)
