Does anyone know if there's yet a solution to the native Mail application constantly re-downloading messages each time it checks for mail - in my case, I have 4 Gmail IMAP accounts.
I've seen this issue on Apple's own boards - no one seems to have any clue why the app is malfunctioning.
And I could really care less, except when I'm connected via Bluetooth to my metered iPhone.
I've learned to just use Opera and connect directly to Gmail, using an app called TripMode to prevent Mail from using ANY bandwidth.
But that isn't ideal - because I have to keep checking my phone to see if I've received any new mail.
It doesn't make sense to me why the iOS app works and the macOS version is so screwed up.
Thanks for your time - I'm just hoping one of the gurus here might have a solution?
