Hi all,

I have this issue. :S

When a message arrives I set it to:

1. Play special sound if subject contains a keyword i specified
2. Color the background of message to specific color if 1 is true
3. Flag the message with a flag.

Then I want to move it to a different server folder. But if I add this rule it goes first for some reason, and well Mail.app doesnt execute rules for other folder but the Inbox. Any suggestion what to do here?

I know there is some way with help of the AppleScript, but how do i tell it to do the move atfer rule 1-3 are run first, and well how do i make this a constant thing?

Thanks all who come forth to help!. :apple::eek:

Are you performing all these steps in one rule? If so, maybe try making the move step a separate rule. Supposedly Mail will execute the rules in the order they are listed, and you can reorder them by dragging.

I will try that and let you know.

Unfortunately it does not work this way. Mail still moved the e-mail to a different folder before applying other rules, and then when it was in the new folder any other rules didi not apply. So unfortunately no other solution at the moment... any other ideas? :(

Mail > Preferences > General

Check the setting for "New message notifications". Be sure that is set to "All Mailboxes"
